Because this email is going out to 900+ people, I thought I would add this:

I may have acquired your email a loooooong time ago. We may have met though music lessons, though ministry, through nutrition, or just through…. anyway…

If it’s been a while since we connected, here’s a quick reminder: I teach music lessons and minister in music.

If you remember me, give a quick reply. I would love hearing from you!

Quick Update:

During the first half of 2023, we believe The Lord ignited a strong vision for our family and ministry to transition into fieldwork. This means traveling to towns, cities, and nations to teach and lead worship and ministry as the Lord dIrects.

Since the 2023 summer, through door to door evangelism, we have prayed with many people at the door of their homes, while hosting community and neighborhood worship services.

We have had the honor and privilege of leading 18 people into a prayer of forgiveness and repentance, giving each on an opportunity to invite Christ to enter as Lord. We are leading people to the Lord. We add them to our prayer list and follow up with them. It is thrilling!

We also believe, at this time, the Lord is asking us to make Ormond Beach our ministry headquarters. We have been living here now for five years.

For many years, we have happily and faithfully served the vision of other pastors, ministries and churches. We are honored to do so and we will continue to support what The Lord is doing through the local Church.

Over the years, we have established many deep and lasting relationships with ministers and pastors we have partnered with in the work of the Kingdom.

Several years ago, Sherry and I learned an important lesson about the importance of obedience and timing. We want to avoid making the same mistake twice.

We are stepping out in faith into what we believe God is calling to do. We are unified, in agreement, and very excited to move into this next season of ministry.

As you may already know, our non-profit ministry The Worship Arts Involvement, purchased land in the heart of Ormond Beach, Florida.

We are moving forward in faith with plans to build a ministry headquarters and parsonage debt-free.

Currently, there is a small cottage-type structure on the property in need of great renovation. We have started that process debt-free, thanks to the support and  generosity of our ministry partners.

Phase One of the project is to renovate and remodel the structure, turning it into a ministry office, small training center, and studio for the teaching ministry of the worship arts, including music lessons.

Do not miss a video update. click below!

Update from September 27

More pictures to come... Follow our family and ministry journey on Facebook or Instagram.

We are planning to complete the remodel of the office/studio space by the end of 2023. We plan to start using the space January 1, 2024.

We are encouraged to know we are in God’s will because this year alone we received three sizable donations which made it possible to purchase the land. We have received gifts to help us meet the projected remodel budget. We are so thankful for Gods provision.

We are believing The Lord for an extra 10K to help complete this renovation above and beyond with unique style and excellence. Please keep us in your prayers as we keep you in ours.

You may see the give option below.

You are under no obligation to give, however we have learned it is best to always make the vision plain and give others an opportunity to sow into the work of God’s Kingdom.

Please ask the Lord what he would have you do. Do what he tells you, nothing more and nothing less. Blessings!

Improving Your Timing and Rhythm...

If music were a house, it would be easy to say rhythm would be its foundation. Houses that last need a good, strong foundation. Being able to understand and harness basic rhythm skills is essential for anyone who desire to advance in their musical journey.

I may not know you yet, but I hope to get to know you soon. My name is Jay Sandifer. I am a music educator and studio manager for PianoDrumsGuitar.com. I have seen over 700 music students come through our studio since 1997.

A Musical Building Block: Rhythm

There is no question about the next statement you are going to read: without doubt, THE most elemental building block to a fulfilling and successful music journey is the ability to harness rhythm (a close second is pitch recognition).

For some students and scholars, harnessing rhythms pulse and beat is easy ....for others? It can be quite  a struggle.

Which student are you?

What is Love?

5/29/2023

Comments

In the Greek language, the english word love has four different words with four different meanings. The four words are:

  • Storge – empathy bond
  • Philia – friend bond
  • Eros – romantic love
  • Agape – unconditional "God" love
Let's look for a moment at the last one on the list:  Agape

God is Love

"The person who does not love does not know God, because God is love.” -The Bible (1 John 4:8).

Love is so much more than a feeling. Like emotions, feelings can change pretty quickly.

In order for love to have power it must be more than feeling. Love has to be choice. It has to be a decision. People have to decide to love.

People have to decide to love. Real genuine love requires a very important concept called covenant. Covenant involves commitment. People who are truly committed to each other show it thru covenant. Covenant binds them together. People need Covenant commitment if they truly want to show love.

  • With out a covenant commitment, real love cannot be experienced. Love has to be tested in order to be proven true.
  • With out covenant commitment, people fail the test of true love. If people don't feel the love, they look for the feeling somewhere else.

This is not love. It is a self seeking type of thing based on complex human conditions such acceptance, ego, validation, purpose, and overall feelings of 'I need my needs met'.

True love does not come and go based on emotions and feelings. True love stays committed through all storms and all despair. True love offers welcomed solutions and a listening ear.

Because true love is not based on feelings, true love originates from outside our natural selves.

"We love because God first loved us."  -1 John 4:19

The Lord has set a tremendously powerful example for you and me to follow. His example of Love is demonstrated by loving us first. He choose (and chooses) to love us even when we turn away from and ignore him.

"But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." -Romans 5:8

We are incapable of true love with out God.

Love is a choice.

Love fully defined

One of the most complete definitions of love can also be found in the Bible (1 Corinthians 13:4-8). I put in bulleted points format for you.
  • Love is patient and kind;
  • love does not envy or boast;
  • it is not arrogant or rude.
  • It does not insist on its own way;
  • it is not irritable or resentful;
  • it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but
  • rejoices with the truth.
  • Love bears all things,
  • believes all things,
  • hopes all things,
  • endures all things.
  • Love never ends.

Love Gives

"God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life."

This is a very famous Bible verse. I learned when I was a child. Did you? You can find it in the Gospel book of John. It's in Chapter 3 and its verse 16.

The Bible has a lot to say about love.

Is Jay Sandifer Drawing Mandalas?

5/27/2023

Comments

worship artist Jay Sandifer

The designs and patterns by Jay Sandifer may look like Mandalas, but they are not.

They are designs and patterns meant to be appreciated as works of art reflecting the art of work.

In many spiritual climates, the purpose of mandalas is generally associated with the meditation practices of Eastern religions such as Hinduism and Tantra Buddhism. Because of this, mandalas are not typically found in Judeo-Christian worship practices.

The artist, Jay Sandifer, embraces the incredibly profound and often challenging teachings of the Christ. The artist firmly believes true spiritual fulfillment regarding purpose, destiny, peace, and power only comes from one place, the Gospel. This explains why the designs and patterns of Jay Sandifer are not mandalas.

The Gospel is explicit. It is narrow. It is not all inclusive. The Gospel does not include eastern religious philosophies. It is selective in nature through the free will and choice of each individual.

Christ does not exclude people. People exclude Christ. Christ welcomes all. However, not all welcome Christ. Here is the reason: The undeniable, direct  and clear teachings of Christ provide a backdrop of standards which require a faith to focus on only one God. This seems hard for many people because they would have to admit, accept and embrace a unique intolerance.

You are invited to complete the free eternal destiny survey at the end of this article.

Also ....with all respect, the word mandala simply means circle in the ancient Sanskrit language. Some have extended its definition liberally to include 'sacred' circle.

There is nothing inherently bad, evil, good or holy about a circle. A circle is simply a shape and symbol with cultural meaning attached. The circle, or any other symbol is a visible representation of an invisible reality. It is like the sacraments of worship: an outward and visible sign of an inward and invisible reality and truth.

Again, the intriguing ideas and purpose of the mandala are not wrong in and of themselves. It is not wrong to be inspired by design. People have been and currently are inspired by design and/or nature every day …all over the planet.

I want to share a thought with you. Here is it: The design, pattern and creation is not necessarily wrong, it's what (or who) is encountered and attributed on the other side that really defines its purpose.

Here is a simple question: if you are using mandalas for meditation, why?

Is it for fun? Just because?

Maybe your answer is something like this: I want to center myself and find peace. Balance will come to me and I can become one with the universe.

-Or- if you want to be really spiritual, your answer may be like this: I want to transcend my consciousness in order to tap into the other side.

This might very well bring me to my point. What is the other side? Who is on the other side?

Jesus Christ says, “There is only one way to God. I am the way.” Jesus says, “I am the (only) way.” He says, “No one comes to the Father (God) any another way (John 14:6).”

WOW! Jesus, what a bold and challenging thing to say! I’ve read through the Gospels several times. It is my discovery that Jesus says many bold and challenging things, perhaps that is why he was murdered in his early thirties.

Sexual Purity

4/28/2023

Sexual Purity

sexual purity
Sexual purity. Wow…

pornography, affairs, cheating, masturbation, fantasies…

This article is written in response to the request to talk about sexual purity to a group of men of all ages and demographics who meet together to encounter God's power to heal and deliver from chains of addiction and unhealthy soul ties that  interfere with Gods purpose and plan for life.

At our deepest core, we all know what is right and wrong. God put that 'knowing' in us. God designed people with an internal moral compass. It’s called a conscience. It’s part of the intuitive side of our spirit. Yes, spirit. You are a spirit, you possess a soul, and you live in a body.

  • Spirit=God consciousness
  • Soul=Self consciousness
  • Body=Sense consciousness

God made our bodies to really enjoy pleasures, like food, adventures, entertainment, and …..sex…

The Mind is the Factory of the Heart

The Good Lord also gave us a mind. The mind is the factory of our heart. It’s in the mind we have the most important conversations with ourselves. It’s in the mind that knowledge sets up camp.

Knowledge puffs up like hyperinflation: 1 Corinthians 8:1 ‘Knowledge [alone] makes [people self-righteously] arrogant, but love [that unselfishly seeks the best for others] builds up and encourages others to grow [in wisdom].’

The scriptures talk about knowledge. Knowledge will puff you up. Just knowing something is not good enough.

Knowledge is NOT Enough

Again, knowledge puffs you up. Knowledge inflates you. Knowledge makes you a windbag. Everyone has an amount of knowledge in some area. Here is what what most people I’ve met agree on. It is a certain knowledge: Pornography is something to be avoided. Hopefully you know that. As a believer and follower of Jesus Christ, you should definitely know that.

Sexual purity is one of God’s high callings. Everyone knows what’s right and what’s wrong. Knowing means nothing without doing. You have to do more than know. Knowledge might be the first step. Without understanding or wisdom, knowledge will puff you up. You need faith.

The Power of Faith and Action

Faith requires action: in James 2:26 we read, “For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.”

We need to do what is right: James 4:17 says, “Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.”

Talking about doing what is right and doing what is right are two different things: 1 Corinthians 4:20 says, 'For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power.’

I heard once; ‘until you are truly free from an addiction, you will not be able to openly discuss the issue with a clear and guilt-free conscience.’ I believe that. Perhaps this is why we don’t have too many messages on putty and holiness ….our pulpits are occupied with ministers who are not truly free. Either that or they are afraid of the Goliath, but it’s time for some Davids to rise up!

Are You a Number?

Here is something else I heard once, ‘some people are so open-minded their brains have fallen out.’

They claim freedom, but their conscience has been burned, or seared (like with a hot iron). They have lost all sense of right and wrong. These people are also really good at defending and justifying their personal opinions and positions. These people have enemy strongholds. They come in the form of philosophy and teaching, and most of the time are peppered with pieces of Scripture they use to justify their cause.

Such could be the case with masturbation. Do pure men of God make a routine of masturbating?

Consider this simple question:

Are you a number?

I am no law expert, but in the prison system, It is my understanding that people are numbered. Even our government gives us a number. It’s called a social security number. Don’t get me wrong here, I like numbers. Numbers help with organization and structure. God likes numbers.

1 Corinthians 14:33 lets us know that our God is a God or order. The same chapter tells us he is NOT the author of confusion. God brings order to people.

When statistics are run through cultures and identifiable groups, the statistics produce numbers.

Are you a number?

How many people yield their bodies, eyes, hearts, hands, and souls to the influence of pornography?

Are you a number?

Are you a part of the statistics?

Porn Consumption

In January 2020 large internet sample study based on four modalities (modality refers to the ways language can express various relationships to reality or truth. For instance, a modal expression may convey that something is likely, desirable, or permissible) was conducted by the National Institutes of Health,  revealing that 9 out of 10 men and 6 out of 10 women are reported as having consumed porn in the last month.* *Solano I, Eaton NR, O'Leary KD. Pornography Consumption, Modality and Function in a Large Internet Sample. J Sex Res. 2020 Jan;57(1):92-103. doi: 10.1080/00224499.2018.1532488. Epub 2018 Oct 25. PMID: 30358432.

What side of the fence were you on last month? ….or even last week?

If you were on the triumphant, victorious side avoiding the temptations of pornography, good for you.

Be Set Free

If you are struggling and know you have a problem, the Lord wants to set you free. The Lord wants to cut you loose. The Lord wants to take you out of the prison system of sexual addiction. The Lord has a plan for you. The Lord’s plan for you is freedom from sexual addiction.

You might think, I tried to break this cycle, but it’s gripping me and I can’t seem to shake it. That, my friend, is the evidence of a habitual stronghold operating in your life. Many times we like these habits and strongholds too much to really want to give them up. We say one thing, but mean another. The last time I checked this was a pretty good definition of hypocrisy …saying one thing and doing another.

I’m sure Paul, the apostle, understood. In Romans 7:15 he writes, ‘I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. He says, What a wretched mess I am.

What may seem impossible to you is not impossible to God. All things are possible to him who believes.

Do you believe you can be free from sexual addiction today?

Do you believe you can experience sexual purity for the rest of your days?

That is the first step. Believing it’s possible, not in your own strength, but in Christ.

Take a moment to tell yourself this right now. Speak to yourself. Say it out loud even. “I am sexually pure. I am sexually pure. I am sexually pure.” There is power in your words. There is power in confession. Life and death are in the power of the tongue. Choose life. Choose God.

One of the big questions for believers is this:

“Lord, what is your will for my life? Lord, what is your will for this particular situation?” Believers desire to know and do the will of the Father. Jesus leads by example: Father, not my will, but yours….

Turn my eyes from looking at worthless things; and give me life in your ways.

1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 ESV
For this is the will of God, your salvation; that you abstain from sexual immorality; that each one of you knows how to control his own body in holiness and honor, not in the passion of lust like the Gentiles who do not know God.

Psalm 24:3-4 ESV
Who shall ascend the hill of the Lord? And who shall stand in his holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to what is false, and does not swear deceitfully.

Psalm 18:26 ESV
With the purified, you show yourself pure, and with the crooked you make yourself seem tortuous.

Matthew 5:8 ESV
“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.

Exodus 20:14 ESV
“You shall not commit adultery.

Matthew 5:27-28 ESV
“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart.’

Psalm 119:9 ESV
How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word.

1 Timothy 4:12 ESV
Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers as an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.

Hebrews 13:4 ESV
Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.

Colossians 3:5 ESV
Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.

1 Corinthians 6:18 ESV
Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.

Where Designs Originate

4/28/2023

Design is Everywhere

“Design is not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works.”  - Steve Jobs

Design is everywhere.

Natural designs may be observed and admired in trees, flowers, mountains, sunrises and the oceans and deserts of the earth. The earth is full of design and pattern.

There are also man made designs, homes, door knobs, cars, kitchen cabinets, etc. Everything we see today came from what we once couldn't see …at least not with our natural eyes. Everything we see today has essentially been designed. Designs are designed.

Designs Are Created

  1. Designs first originate from the inside of the thoughts, imaginations, observations and experiences of the artist.
  2. Second, designs are, in-a-sense, released from the artist to the world. They metamorphosis from invisible to visible. This is the way. This is the process. Artists design. It is a creative process.

The Design Process

Picture
The design process can also be explored. Experimentation can also yield or produce and make designs. Innovators and inventors are using their God0given imaginations to explore and experiment with materials and resources they make available.

Sketches are the way many designers in the past have expressed their creativity. Drawing is a great way to begin to put form to creative ideas. Sometimes these ideas are deeply embedded in our souls and spirits. They may lay dormant for years deep with us, or they may suddenly shock us with a surprise voltage of ‘do-this-now!’

Sketchbooks & Journals

Sketches and ‘doodles’ are what I use to explore the design process. I most often start with simple lines, dots and basic shapes. I start from the center and expand the process out from a central point of focus. In my sketches, the lines and shapes of my designs often create patterns.

Picture

Designs Create Patterns

Designs create patterns, but remember …patterns also create designs.

In many instances the pattern (or blueprint) precedes the design.

It seems quite circular in concept. Think for a moment with me.

An original design emerges from the artist. The design has its origin from a pattern which has been pieced together internally …thought by thought, inspiration by inspiration, and revelation by revelation. The end from the beginning so-to-speak.

This design can then become a type of pattern for other designs.

As Steven Jobs, the creator and founder of Apple Technology Company, Design is also about function. Design is about how things work.

Designed to be a Sign & Wonder

My art is designed to be a sign and a wonder. My designs are intentionally made to bring an awareness to the Juedeo/Christian God of The Holy Scriptures. My designs work when those who see my designs and patterns become more aware of the amazing detailed and often delicate creation of life which surrounds us. Embedded within my designs and patterns are symbols and deep meanings inspired by the Bible.

The Lord is My Song

7/2/2019

Comments

Moses sang these words, "The Lord is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation; This is my God, and I will praise Him; My father’s God, and I will extol Him."

This same exact phrase can also be found in Isaiah 12:2 and Psalm 118:14. It is a national phrase for the nation of Israel.

"The Lord is my strength and song..."

The New international version of the Bible has substituted the word 'song' for defense. The Lord is my strength and defense. Other translations have also used this substitution, but when you study the original Hebrew word it is a musical word.
Picture

Zimrâh

The Hebrew word for the phrase and song is pronounced zim-raw.  It looks like this in the original Hebrew language: זִמְרָה

It is transliterated zimrâh and means a musical piece or song to be accompanied by an instrument. It also means melody and psalm.

Zimrah actually comes from Zamar which is another Hebrew word.

Zamar is used at least forty-five times through the Bible.

According to the Strong's Biblical Concordance Zamar means
  • to touch the strings or parts of a musical instrument
  • play upon it
  • to make music accompanied by the voice
  • to celebrate in song and music
  • give praise
  • sing forth praises and psalms

Your Song

Moses is a very popular and well known person. His life and story and legacy are as rich as Abraham, and any other historical figure. Moses was a human being who lived and walked the earth just like you and me. He experienced all the same type of human emotions, excitement, fear, rejection, sadness, anger, joy, wonder, and awe.

After an intense project of leading the nation of Israel out of Egypt to safety and complete victory over the Egyptian army chasing them, He makes this declaration: The Lord is my Song. The Lord is my Song. The Lord is my music. He is my Praise. He is my instrumentation. He is my melody. He is my Psalm.

Moses recognized the celebration and joy experienced from a victory and act of freedom is a direct result of The Lord's leading and intervention.

Moses simply attributed all success to the Lord. He took no credit for himself. Moses has a song to sing. His song is the Lord.

The Future Song

In the last book of the Bible which is called The Book of The Revelation, we can read in chapter 15, .."and they were singing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, “Great and marvelous are Your works, O Lord God, the Almighty; Righteous and true are Your ways, King of the nations!"

Moses has a song. Like all songs, it has a message. Moses' song is an eternal song. We sing it today on earth and we will sing in Heaven. Selah.

Should Music be Censored?

6/17/2019

Comments

My oldest son asked me about the word censorship after seeing the word on the cover of a magazine.

I thought for a moment about the word.

Censorship.

What comes to mind when your hear this word?
  • Censorship
  • Censored
  • Uncensored
Is censorship good or bad?

I suppose the answer to that question would depend on how and where the word is used.

The Censorship Gate

I like to think of censorship as a gate to content.

Content is the message. Content is the set of values which help define a philosophy.

Censorship is the gate to that content. It is the permission to that content. It is the filter to the content.

If you were to be able to access any given content, whether it be song lyrics, movies, books, videos, or art, censorship would either say yes to all, or selectively block certain parts. In this way, censorship becomes  judge.

If censorship judges, and it does, then the gate of censorship has to have a key. Someone has to program the gate to either open or close. Someone is opening and closing the gate of censorship.

Should Scripture be Censored?

The culture of the Judaeo/Christian values works hard at censoring adult themed content of both visual images, literature, and music.

Is it okay for a six year old to see graphic  images, visual content, violence, hatred, and hear vulgarity, slang, degrading, provocative and explicit lyrics?

Should children be protected from the greed generated content of those who want to control, manipulate, corrupt, profane and enslave humanity?

Should the wicked spirits using people who think they are above the law and know better than the King of the Universe be allowed to openly propagate their hateful agenda to strategically destroy [by constant aggressive machine-like pressure and battering] the ancient values of holiness an purity?

Values have clearly become a battle zone between US and THEM.

But the great question needs answering....which side are you on? May I suggest you are now on the THEM side.

May I submit a thought? According the cultural standards of today's mainstream values, you are now on the THEM side if you hold to the ancient traditions and biblical standards of righteousness.

If you are working mental aerobics to filter and censor Biblical ideas in order to avoid certain scriptural truths that would questionably cause offense to others, then I suggest you are compromising Heavens agenda.

If you are compromising heavens agenda it is because you are afraid of man. You are not trusting in the Lord. When you trust in man for your resources and praise, you enslave yourself to the man...you have walked into the trap set by man to keep you from the freedom you need to fulfill all that The Lord has called you to do.

Draw the Battle Lines

If you and I have willingly made any of these compromises against the Kingdom of Heaven by sheepishly censoring the full and complete Word of The Lord in order for selfish ambition and gain, then its time to stop and draw the battle line.

Let the lines be drawn. The battle Lines. Draw them. Take a stand. No more.

Do all that is within you to follow in obedience the commands and dictates of scriptures. Don't back down from the strong clear holy language of scripture.

Sing the songs. Sing the word....all of it.  Put poetic justice in its rightful place by fully declaring the message of the scriptures. Out Loud. In song. Without apology.

Sing the songs. All of them. Release the message of the Kingdom that has been burning in your heart. Let's release the message of the kingdom that has been burning in our hearts.

Sing the songs. Sing the scriptures. Let passion and strong fervency fuel Gods message to the nations through your voice and musical giftings.

Let the battle lines be drawn and take your stand. Fight the good fight of faith with your words....words seasoned and anointed from the scriptures. Proclaim and declare the mighty power of the Lord as he has cast down the great harlot and whore of Babylon. He has over come the great dragon.

The great dragon has no glory. no future. The great dragon is expelled and banished. The great dragon is not all powerful and has to answer to the authority of the Lord.

You are that authority, if you are to be found in Christ Jesus. All authority has been given to the triumphant Christ. As a result of our being adopted and in-grafted as believers, we have been given the mandate to exercise this this great authority with all of heavens backing.

We partake in Gods divine nature and by the words of our testimony and by the shed blood of the Lamb of God we overcome. We enforce the victory of our lord though acts of love.

We love the people and we curse the Antichrist spirit operating in the world today. The spirit that has come to strategically destroy Gods people by cleverly hypnotizing them with slow pendulum swings progressive cultural acceptances.

These progressive swings are the identifying elements of the ancient nations of the world who set their heart towards the small gods of creation, the idols and things made by the hands of man, and the placing affection on the creation over the creator. The same attractions that pulled the nation of Israel away from their devotion to The Lord, Adonai.

Even today, this resurrecting nation is still searching. Still searching for the messiah, which The Lord has placed right in front of their eyes.

Reformation!

In general it appears western culture has been successfully lured away from the first love of the Lord. A deeper look into scriptures would help confirm. Look for yourself.

As a result of the last 40 years, we now have to reintroduce the words of the Kingdom. We have to teach the language and vocabulary of the Kingdom. We would do well to look into the scriptures over the internet. There are many voices but only one will have the final say.

Let's decide who's side we are on. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. Lets do the works of God with love with out bowing to demonic and deceptive agendas. Let's shout it loud from the mountain. Let's stop hiding the light in our pockets. Bring it out for all to see. Use the words of Scriptures.

It may seem difficult, because it is, but lets make a conscience, determined and intentional effort to bring back the words of scriptures. Lets call things as they are. Let;s call those things that are as though they are. Lets exercise our God given right and authority to rule over the earth.

This takes time. Time in worship. Time in prayer. Time fasting. Time reading and studying.

Professors and teachers are steering the multitudes of this next generation into a place of exclusion. The Bible and its language is being excluded as archaic, non-truth, a work of mans imagination and no different than any other work of literature inspired by the creative imaginations of man, which are most often a direct result of some type of spirit influence, fear, pride, selfish ambition, confusion, lust, perversion, and antichrist.

If these works are inspired in such a way, then why not the Bible inspired by the Holy Spirit? Why not?

The Jews believe the Scriptures to be a tree of life to all who find and grasp them. Those who cling to these are happy. The ways of the the scriptures are pleasantness and all its paths are shalom...complete and full peace in every possible way.

Lets sing our life song to the lord using the most powerful and lasting lyrics of the Holy scriptures. Uncensored.

SING ...to the Lord

It would seem simple enough...to direct our singing to the Lord, yes?

But how easy is this for us?

I remember learning once the difference between simple and easy.

Have you heard of this? Have you heard about the difference between simple and easy. Some tasks are really very simple in theory, but to accomplish and fulfill to completion some tasks are not so easy.

Here's an example: the idea of building a successful business is simple. It's as simple as talking to people about your product or service. When you find the people looking for what you have to offer the product or service sells itself. Simple? yes! Easy? well....maybe not.

Who are You Singing to?

I am a singer. I sing everyday. I have been singing every day since 1992.

Sometimes, I find that I am singing to myself. I have sung to others including church members, pastors, evangelists and leaders. I have sung to my peers, other worship leaders and musicians. I have sung to my family and all types of people in assisted living homes, coffee shops, public events, and a long time ago even a few restaurants and bars.

I have even sung to circumstances and emotions, I have to to my problems, to conflict, confusion and unrest.

But, how often do I sing to the Lord?

How often do you sing to the Lord?

SING ....to THE Lord.

Sing to, not about

In the Bible, there are several scriptures which outright command (imperatively) the reader and hearer to sing to the Lord. Psalm 96  of those scriptural commands. This means at times our singing should be done to the Lord. At these times we need to intentionally direct our song to the Lord.

Although there are times when we are encouraged to sing to one another, we have to make sure we sing TO The Lord.

Although there re times when we are encouraged to sing about all that the Lord has done, we must make sure we make the time to sing TO The Lord.

In order to sing TO someone, it makes sense to me that you would need to be in that persons presence.

If I want to talk with my wife, I need to need to get her attention. I've got to call her, text her...direct my attention to her. If it is important, I need to talk with here face to face. This is the best. better than phone, facetime, skype, or IM.

I believe one of the reason we are to sing to The Lord is because he sings over us. The Lord sings over you if you belong to him. IN your midst, He lifts his voice as mighty warrior and sings over you with joy!

According to the Prophet Zephaniah, it appears The Lords song over you is sung from a place of total victory. Total victory bears the fruit of peace. This peace, which transcends all natural reasoning and understanding, produces joy. God, the Lord, sings over you from your midst with Joy. From a place of power and victory, The King of the universe sings over you so sing to him. Sing to Him a NEW song!!!

Pray with me:

Father of all that is living and good, may I be reminded of your faithfulness. May a new song rise from my heart of appreciation and gratitude. With thanksgiving may I be granted access to your presence and holy throne. By the blood of the sacrificial lamb of God, I will enter into the holiest of places to lift up my song directly to you.

Sing to the Lord a New Song

My first bible was King James Version (KLV). It was a gift from my third grade Sunday school teacher. I still have it. It has tiny print and the binding is a bit loose.

What about you?
Do you still have your first Bible?
Do you have a Bible? Some people do not.

When I was a teenager I was given a New International Version (NIV) Student Bible. I still that one too.  The original cover is destroyed.

In my second year of college, I had a friend who worked in the school library. one of his jobs to to send books that were falling apart to a company that would rebound books. I asked if he would help me rebind my bible. He did. I'm very thankful. It was as if was new.....but it wasn't...it had the same markings inside as before. That bible is on my shelve today with a strong and a generic black hardcover.

A New Song 9x

In both the KJV and the NIV the words new song are mentioned in nine different places.

Psalm 33:3 -Sing a new song of praise to him; play skillfully on the harp, and sing with joy.

Psalm 40:3 -He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see what he has done and be amazed. They will put their trust in the LORD.

Psalm 96:1 -Sing a new song to the LORD! Let the whole earth sing to the LORD!

Psalm 98:1 -Sing a new song to the LORD, for he has done wonderful deeds. His right hand has won a mighty victory; his holy arm has shown his saving power!

Psalm 144:9 -I will sing a new song to you, O God! I will sing your praises with a ten-stringed harp.

Psalm 149:1 -Praise the LORD! Sing to the LORD a new song. Sing his praises in the assembly of the faithful.

Isaiah 42:10 -Sing a new song to the LORD! Sing his praises from the ends of the earth! Sing, all you who sail the seas, all you who live in distant coastlands.

Revelation 5:9 -And they sang a new song with these words: "You are worthy to take the scroll and break its seals and open it. For you were slaughtered, and your blood has ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation.

Revelation 14:3 -This great choir sang a wonderful new song in front of the throne of God and before the four living beings and the twenty-four elders. No one could learn this song except the 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth.

HEBREW: chadashn (new) shiyr (song)

The word used for NEW in the Old Testament Bible verses is transliterated: chadashn

It simply means fresh. It comes from a root word meaning to be made new, renewed, and/or repaired.

The word used for SONG in the Old Testament Bible verses is transliterated: shiyr

This word is neutral gendered noun. In its feminine form it means song. In its masculine form it means sing.

It comes from a root verb which meaning to sing as if traveling or strolling. It shares the same meaning as another verb used to describe a travelling about, to journey even dubiously as a harlot or merchant might travel.

GREEK: kainos (new) ode (song)

The word used for NEW in the New Testament Bible verses is transliterated: kainos

It is an adjective which also means fresh. It also unused, unworn, recently made, novel, uncommon, unheard of.

It is a word used more so with respect to 'freshness' than with 'age'.

The word used for SONG in the New Testament Bible verses is transliterated: ode

This word is feminine noun. It is a generic term meaning song, lay, ode.

It comes from a verb word meaning to sing to the praise of anyone.

Hebrew vs Greek

When I study the words 'new song', I am intrigued that the Hebrew language seems to underpin the NEW  SONG with the idea that the new song is a song which comes from the heart of the worship leading figure(s) moving forward in their journey to grow and gain clientele and sales (or, in this case other worshippers).

The new song carries with it the strength of both the man and the woman.

The female is the song itself while the male is the singer of the song. This idea reminds me of the spiritual dynamic and relationship the covenant people of God (the bride) has with their God and Lord (the groom).

The ultimate man sings the song of his friend, lover and bride. We become The Lords song.

The new song is fresh in its approach. The old often becomes familiar and no longer carries the impact for conversion it once had.

The new song is renewing. It is unused. The real new song may use the old words familiar words, the the words of my student bible, but it comes repacked with a new look coming from a new mercy from a new day and new heart, new appreciation, and new praise ...a new and fresh awareness of God's grandeur and glory.

Pray with me: Lord God, Maker of heaven and earth. Great healer and mighty King of the Universe. Thank you for each new day and the grace and mercies that show up immediately in my life the second I open my eyes each morning. You have put a new song in my mouth. I will praise your name in the sanctuary. I will proclaim your deeds and wonders throughout the earth. I will keep my mind on you. Have your way in my life today and make my life a song others can sing to your glory!
