Ambient Sky One originated in 2010 as an alternative music source for Christian massage therapists. It is designed specifically to follow and accompany the flow of a sixty-minute deep tissue massage. It is anointed to help the work of the therapist by using music and the Holy Spirit to help release toxins in the body in conjunction with the hands or the therapists. There are other relaxing music projects used for massage therapy, but not exactly like this one. This recording is the only one of its kind.
The Ambient Sky Project...
In 2010, I heard one of my massage therapy friends say something sad about the music used for therapy sessions. She said it was hard to find anointed Christian music that could be used for massage therapy sessions. Since then, the musical climate of worship has changed a lot.
With the advent of 'soaking' music, it is much easier to find Christian 'relaxation' music. Ambient Sky was and is one of the first of its kind. All the samples are original, the birds, the waves, the rain, the thunder, the children, and the wind.
Some samples come from my former home in Wisconsin. Other samples are from Ghana, West Africa, while on a missions trip. The keyboard tracks are not MIDI, they are all live, recorded in real-time.
The length of the project was specifically set to accompany a 60-minute deep tissue massage.
In May of 2023, while celebrating an anniversary with my wife, we treated ourselves to a couples massage. I was reminded of how spiritual a simple massage has become. Massage is so Eastern influences, bells, bowls, chants, breathing, chakras, and other things that are not genuinely holy. I was also reminded of the project I created in 2010 for my friend and I wanted to share this with you.
