Why Christian Artists Need to Stop Fearing Circles

Mandala? It's Not What You Think: The Original Blueprint

---

At first glance, modern culture might tempt viewers to label radial, symmetrical artwork with the names and philosophies of Eastern meditation. Look closer.
The enemy creates nothing—he only copies, twists, and counterfeits. Long before any world religion attached foreign spiritual practices to circular designs, God spoke the cosmos into existence with perfect radial symmetry, order, and visual harmony. The counterfeit never precedes the original.

THREE FOUNDATIONAL TRUTHS BEHIND THE WORK

01. God is the Author of Geometry, Order & Pattern From the rings of an ancient tree, snowflakes, and the iris of an eye to distant galaxies, God built physical reality on radial symmetry. In Scripture, God commanded intricate geometric patterns for the Tabernacle and Temple. Pattern is the Creator's fingerprint.

02. A Cultural Counterfeit Never Invalidates God's Original God gave the rainbow as an eternal covenant in Genesis before culture rebranded it. Musical instruments like drums and guitars were once labeled worldly before filling sanctuaries with praise. A shape does not belong to a foreign philosophy simply because culture adopted it.

03. Spiritual Purpose is Defined by Who is Glorified A circle carries no inherent spiritual power. Eastern meditation uses radial designs to empty the mind or pursue oneness with the universe. This artwork does the exact opposite: it fixes our focus on the Living God, rooted in the finished work of Jesus Christ and the Gospel.

"God Designed the Pattern. Christ Defines the Purpose."

"This collection does not seek to empty the mind. It is a work of craftsmanship dedicated to the God of Scripture, pointing directly to the truth, power, and grace of Jesus Christ."
